    The Australian housing bubble furphy

Hi Evand, My issue is that their opinions are unsustainable and argued as fact. I pointed this out in my post with references to the unsustainable blanket statements. If they were opinions based on some sort of sound reasoning then I would welcome the informed debate. But they're not...

Oh dear, another one... Where do these people come from? I'm all for informed debate but this is just annoying. Quote: "Investors buying now will lose money (short to medium term) if prices don't rise". Excuse me? Really? If you put down a decent deposit then its easy to run a CF+...

True enough Evand, but I think anyone able to come up with 10-15% deposit and pass servicability will get a loan at present. I just think that the days of 100% lo-doc loans are a thing of the past but I never used these anyway. I try to avoid LMI so always stump up a decent deposit. FWIW...

    The Australian housing bubble furphy

This is what I love about the current market. Lots of cashed up buyers on the sidelines waiting. Existing owners ferreting money away with higher repayments or parked in offset accounts. Fear prevailing everywhere. And this on the cusp of an unprecedented mining boom and a hit to our terms...

    The Australian housing bubble furphy

We're not in a strong financial position. We're hocked to the eyeballs with our development in Sydney. There will be $2.2M of debt being serviced against that with no income until fully let out at completion. But I just rang my banker and asked for pre-approval for another $400K odd to go...
