Thanks for the reply mikezen, We stayed at broadbeach and yea I agree there is some nice restaurants and the like. Maybe old can-do Newman's laws cleaned it up a bit. Hopefully in the next 10 years or so people start to take the gold coast seriously, and treat it almost like a capital city...

My wife and I just got back from the coast today. We cant understand why the Gold Coast relies so much on tourism. It has all the infrastructure and population to be a suitable buisness hub for multinational companies. Does anyone know why this is not the case?
