I had a solar HW in my old IP. Stupid thing was connected to off peak. So it would heat water in sunlight then maintain heat overnight. Until the off peak trigger device failed and so it didn't heat at all overnight. Temp fell constantly until tepid in mornings. Hot by midday when repairman...
