Kudos, dannyhc, for reminding us that our highly individualistic society is actually not the norm. Most societies for most of human history have pooled resources. It's a shame to see that so many feel the need to tear Kath's family down for not fitting the mould.

LMAO - must keep the "Mexican vet" option in mind, neither of my parents want to go on when it's not worth living any more, either. ;) Normally, I'm highly skeptical about these kind of arrangements and the potential for things to go wrong, or problems that families hadn't anticipated. But...
