Interstellar is a great movie. Whilst it uses at some interesting physics (gravity induced time dilation, etc), the actual implementation is quite a way off as the gravity experienced wouldn't have anywhere near the time dilation effect. Still a cool movie. I saw American Sniper last night...

I wouldn't really call it a twist. To me it became fairly apparent what was happening reasonably early. The additional 'twists' also become reasonably predictable as the story unfolds. What's engaging about the story is how it just gets deeper and deeper into the way the <<REDACTED>>.

Took my wife to see, "Gone Girl". It was her birthday. I was skeptical, but what the birthday girl wants... Turns out I really enjoyed it. I thoroughly recommend it.

In Gravity there's a scene where Sandra Bullock is trying to radio for help and ends up talking to an unknown person in an unknown language. It turns out she was speaking to an Inuit in Greenland. A short film "Aningaaq" showing the other side of the conversation has been released...

Really enjoyed About Time. Saw The Prestige years ago, excellent movie. Currently working through the old 1990's Babylon 5 space opera series. It's starting to get a little dated, but it still amazes me how they put plot elements into season 1 which don't become apparent until much later...
