The various animal shelters are the best place to get pets. Being a bit blunt here, but some of them get so many animals through a lot of them *have* to get put down, so they put down the ones with noxious personalities and leave the nice snuggly ones for sale. Sure you'll get an older animal...

The bigger offspring is already on the internet. But only on a select few whitelisted websites, and of course she has her own website (not linked anywhere though, addy has only been given to relatives). I don't think she's actually related to the rest of us though, doesn't have any interests in...

Nope. We don't have our deposit together (heck, I don't even have an income at the moment) so there is no rush, which is why it pissed me off no end to be hassled almost daily to get the paperwork back - and then when they've got it back they go quiet! Sending back the forms will trigger a...

Our builder was nagging us no end (as in, near daily calls) to get some paperwork back so they could give us a final price. So we sent it back. That was well over a month ago and it has been deathly silent since. Bah, builders ...

Argh. At 3pm today I was fine. At 3:15 I had a fever. What gives???

Our big occasion is very boring ... he's either eating or sleeping, and he does a lot of sleeping. You have to wake him up to feed him or change his bum! Its like the total opposite of our last one, who is STILL a terrible sleeper, gets woken by a pin drop, and never sits still. She gave us...

Quite a few twinges ... he arrived 12:05am today. Half an hour after we got to the hospital. Doc missed it, midwife almost missed it lol - I think she was there for the last 2 minutes of the process. Reaction from the toddler: "Ooooh! Its a baby!" and promptly tries to give the baby stuff...

My due date was last month :P Oooh, we get that too, the neighbours on both sides have wood fires. Tend to do washing in small doses and dry it inside on clothes airers. Its very cold lately and the washing just ices up if you leave it out anyway.

Hasn't worked for either of mine, one was way early and the other we really wanted before Christmas but decided to arrive well after. My partner is a shocking procrastinator so I blame him entirely for late babies. Late night and liqueur tokay :D Tasty stuff, that. Get it from the Sevenhill...

Orgasm makes oxytocin ... that's the real version of the synthetic stuff they give you to trigger labour. Twiddling your nipples does it too. And there's stuff in man goo that can trigger it as well. None of these are easy things to do with a toddler in the house

I don't do nail polish. The other half (and by extension, the toddler) is the one with the pretty coloured nails, long hair with streaks in it, expensive beauty regimen etc etc If it wasn't for the bump, I'd say we have a close to total gender reversal in this household :)

How early do you people think I get up :P I just jinxed myself mentioning the 1:15am thing. I was waking up for a loo break at *exactly* 1:15 every day this week (could set a clock by my bladder) so of course last night I slept way past then  *resumes twiddling thumbs*

I'm 35 this year and not planning on having more - have a near 10 year spread between them as is, courtesy of the rather dubious circumstances of #1's arrival. 3 seems to be the cut-off point between fitting into a relatively normal car or house and having to either upgrade or stack em. I...

I'm actually about halfway between Adelaide and PA but 2km as the crow flies from the local hospital! The hospital here is great, really good staff, so the only way I'm having a homebirth is if it goes fast - which being #3 it might - and the weather is predicted to be 10 shades of FREEZING...

I'm officially 40 weeks pregnant today. Yay for me. I think. If it starts to get close to 41 ... or worse, 42 .... aaaaaaargh!

Aww ... I'm not going to get rid of mine for years. There'll be 9.5 years span there ... I have this dream of being rich enough to send the big one to a fancy boarding high school in the city *sigh*

Ask your mother if she'd like a slightly younger replacement for you now you've left home - then I don't need to build a new house :D

Our 2.5yo doesn't 'lie' per se but she does come out with some funny stuff. Like you tell her something is green, and she says "no mummy, is red. Cassie silly!" so she knows she's making stuff up. She was getting into the pantry in a major way the other day and I told her to get out of there...
