Which would have better growth potential though? Most seem to say houses are better for growth because its the land that appreciates (building depreciates) but i was reading one of the Lomas books last night and she says she sees no evidence from her own experience to support this theory...

Just looking at Ellenbrook... hows does this fit in with the new(ish) 3x2 legoland house in a satelite community theory I have a friend that lives there and its a loooooooooooooooong drive back to the city after visits... but i heard that the train line may get extended out here? easy to rent?

EVP is dearer than Kensington? Huh? Are we talking about the same East Vic Pk and the same Kensington?

The streetscape of Kenny closer to the Vic Pk end gets a little scruffy though, and there's not much there... Como has a little more of a buzz, but i reckon you have to stay the river side of Canning Hwy. I see the prices in Kensington as being almost entirely led by the prices of the suburbs...

I had to search the map for those - thats a long way to the CBD ...they need an airport not a train station :)

OK lets have some suggestions for northern suburbs that fit the criteria. $400K, new-ish 3/2, walk to train station, closeby services...

I like Mt Lawley... but prob looking at an older unit here, so no land value/ depreciation. What do people think about older (usually larger) units in small blocks in Mt Lawley vs Newer villas in an area such as Tuart Hill? This is something ive pondered a lot. $400K wont do it in...
