I don't know the full circumstances of what you claim - but I do know a thing or two about some of Steve's investments. I know he invested heavily into Great Southern along with his clients. He is being pursued by the banks for that just like everyone else who borrowed to invest. I don't know...

They are charging commission because people have (generally) been unwilling to pay a fee-for-service. At the end of the day, you either pay a commission or some kind of fee based on the costs of the work that is done (whether that be fixed fee, percentage of funds managed, time-and-materials...

You make it sound as though advisors should be omniscient? I hear a lot of people make similar claims. My only suggestion is to consider that risking your own money is a vastly different exercise to risking other people's money. Think about a typical fund manager ... if you are too...

That text was copied and pasted from the old Navra Financial Services website. It is incorrect and misleading. Navra Financial Solutions was registered in May 2011 and the sole director is Dylan Navra. Essentially, Dylan is sharing office space with NavraInvest, presumably under a similar...

navra.com.au now has nothing to do with NavraInvest or Navra Financial Services ... completely separate company run by Steve's son. The fact that Steve's face appears on the site is just marketing, he is not a director of the company.

Don't know about Peter Spann. In their defence - it does seem like GS were trading while insolvent and were effectively operating a form of ponzi scheme using money from new investors to prop up the returns for existing investors. All while being a "well respected" ASX200 listed company...

It's a completely new company - with a new single director (Dylan Navra, Steve's son). Company was registered in May 2011 ... that page is definitely misleading. The first paragraph is a direct cut-and-paste (word for word) from the old Navra Financial Services about page. Steve is no longer...

Just to be clear - it is the financial planning company Navra Financial Services which was placed in liquidation, mostly due to an insurance bill they couldn't afford after all the post-GFC and Great Southern fallout :rolleyes: The funds management company NavraInvest, is still operating.
