    But CBA have now linked the actual values in their systems at MyWealth. Now you can see (valuations, wealth positions etc) what the bank employees see if you do not change the values yourself. Quite useful when it comes to equity release.

    May be not. I just checked a property of ours. onthehouse.com.au gets a recent sale amount, CBA's tool a better valuation and pricefinder is generous. We have actually used equity from that property and the figure we gave was in between CBA and Pricefinder and it was accepted with a desktop...

    Data mining, of course, they will be doing it. But I am not too worried about matching properties with loans we already have with CBA. They already know the addresses and loan details. In fact, I feel better off knowing what valuations they follow. Most of the times, they did not disclose...

CBA was sending notifications about this feature but I never bothered to try until reading this post. :) By trying both our properties, we found that the RPdata figures are not so helpful. One is over valued by 10% while the other is undervalued by more than 10%...
