    i suggest you read ROAD TRANSPORT (DRIVER LICENSING) ACT 1998 - SECT 16 and also ROAD TRANSPORT (DRIVER LICENSING) ACT 1998 - SECT 33 if the notice wasn't given, and prosecutor cannot produce it in court, then the license wasn't suspended, hence there is no guilt

    they are supposed to let you know that your license is suspended via letter, and usually they send several so unless they have the wrong address, it's hard to actually not know your license is suspended. if they didn't send any letters notifying you, then any lawyer with half a brain...

    it takes up to 2-3 months sometimes depends on how busy they are i once thought i got away when didn't hear from them for 6 months, but then they still sent me the summons

    the problem is that speeding fines are such a good source of revenue, that nobody even looks at other ways of solving the problem. "more people died on a road? - great, we'll just reduce speed limits and increase fines!"

    civil offenses (that's what speeding ticket is) don't have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt, they are decided on balance of probabilities it's criminal offenses where prosecution has to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt

    if you go to that site with .com.au it actually rubbishes the site you cited :D although i do have to question some of the things they say on their site, especially around fines affecting your insurance - as far as i know - complete rubbish
