    There are an awful lot of un-mortgaged properties, that's true. I would humbly suggest that most are in that vast "suburbia", not in the "wanna-be" suburbs. Can you provide a link to the stats which tell us there are whole areas of houses without mortgages because the owners are "wealthy"?

    I THINK the original poster was talking about CF neutral in the US. Using this definition even, Yanks don't want to be out of pocket. I don't know the answer, but is there another country where property owners are crazy enough to believe losing money for YEARS is a good investment?

    Another example of two people looking at something but "seeing" different things. I came to the conclusion that two thirds of respondents are still in the market, which I thought was quite high in this climate.

    I'm having problems with this. You would like to buy because some properties are at a 50% discount. Why buy so early in a correction? BTW Is Keen still persona non grata? He only predicted 40% didn't he?
