I've been following the Frankston North market for 2 years. As I type, 15 of the 60 listings for Frankston North are new builds (6) or parcels of land (9), that, I have never seen. The new builds range from $304k - $400k, the parcels of land $115k - $195k and established homes $220k - $420k...

Will ease traffic congestion. You driven down to where Eastlink meets the old highway? It's a bottle neck much like how the Monash meets up at Gippsland.

Hopefully St. Kilda moving into the new facility in the early year will help Frankston North property prices. I suppose there would be a chance for that to happen?!?

Seems to be a number of 3br properties coming onto the market for around $320k. Prices most definitely on the rise! :)

I don't particularly know what to make of it, there's way too many opinions, I'm not an "expert". I'm in it for the longer term anyhow with potential to develop my block. Last month Frankston and Seaford had negative growth according to the HS and now according to this report they've got...

4br would be a part of it and it's brick. Block isn't massive, 680m2. Tucked away nicely in quiet court location and the house is well presented. I don't think the median price is a fair indication for 3200, there's so many fibro-homes that said pricing distorts the rest of the market - just...

Apparently houses towards the Peninsula Link have gone up by over 20%, I'd say that figure is about right. I'd say our property has gone up 25% from when we bought less than 6 months ago.

That's what I could see happening, particularly with the government's stance on urban sprawling and therefore lack of land release earmarked in Frankston - and of course the size of the blocks as mentioned by meconium. Forgive my ignorance, what would the creation of townhouses do to the...

Sweet, I should check the HUN out more often (I get the Sunday HUN delivered and don't read it... unless of course my team won! :D).

My IP is listed on Old Listings, I paid $8k below asking price - the asking price is on Old Listings. Maybe my IP is special! :p How do you find out how much a property sold for if it isn't listed on realestate.com.au? Which property sold for $306k?

Thanks for the link Meconium, only problem is they aren't necessarily the actual sales price, only the listed price.
