Nope, wrong again. You may as well give up now as it's too hard for you to understand supply & demand 101.

The next 10 years: Prediction of the market

Well, no. The same house may well have jumped up into a higher desirable bracket due to population growth/demand/supply deficit. Ever so slowly the FHB's have to start a little further out as a city grows. Can't expect to pick up first home in the same place a decade and half later...

Yeah, trey thinks the way I used to think when I was his age. Time to smarten up young fella. BTW, if you do decide to smarten up and do it right, you can surf your whole life away. But now, you are surviving on the oldies and your wages. Will that last foreva...? Just...

On the face of that, you have no hope of doing anything significant using your own nouse and motivation. Lucky you inheriting all that moula from the oldies. Watch out for the sharks while surfing mate. They walk on land as well so be careful when you are back in reality.

The next 10 years: Prediction of the market

You most likely will be outpaced by the market. Best to suck it up, get on the ladder and start (climbing) now! Then I'm sure you will get what you want, eventually. It's what we did and we just sold off the "old dog" late last year for a great price. That place was the cornerstone in our...

Good luck then, & well done if you can pay cash in the area you want. Just watch out this move up doesn't consume you. Keep us posted.:)

The next 10 years: Prediction of the market

You are trying to buy in the wrong area. You dont have enough cash to buy outright "anywhere decent". You need to borrow upon your substantial deposit thus far saved. Just like the rest of us.

And we go full circle on the affordability "issue". We know what the real "issue" is. Location location.;)
