Scott, I ended up sticking with 2.7 on both floors. The roof is a flat roof, so if I used rafters that could span across bedrooms and take the weight of the gyprock, then it'd be easy to do a raked ceiling. I would need larger rafters for a raked ceiling in comparison to just a flat ceiling...- andini
