This happened to Syd and Melb and to some extent Perth post 2000 as well. The stock market took a slight dip. Now experts are predicting single digit equity growth especially on the back of a tightening environment. Wheres cashed up WA folks going to stick their money? Back into the share market...

I hope hes right there Ausprop, canal homes up in Gold Coast has certainly come off the boil. But perhaps there were too many of them. Whats the next craze? Your own island on reclaimed land?

We may never see this again in our life time. Remember runs like this don't last forever and don't think for a minute we can't experience what the Japs did for over a decade. Very crystal ball stuff. But make hay while the sun shines - I'm with Ausprop!!

I have to rely on massive depreciations on new homes (circa $7,500pa) plus the 15%-20% developers margin just to get it to a point where it costs about $2.5K pa to hold (on paper that is - I'm sure theres going to be teething problems with new homes). I don't know how people can now afford to...
