Your quite right but I wouldn't trust myself parking the funds...Would only buy a bigger boat:D And we have a very large PPOR in which we will live most of our lives with equity available so it quite suits us to pay off some debt. Like I said I dont even notice the cash gone and its suprising...

I too like to reduce a bit of the debt so pay P&I off two of my IP's and interest only on the others. I dont really even notice it but over the years I have reduced my loan by almost 20k and can always get the equity out later. Cheers
