The pain has already been pretty intense. The two stock portfolio (BHP, WOW) is currently down 17% when a few weeks ago, it reached an all time high since portfolio inception of 4% down. But thanks for concern.

Great perspective thank you. I think in hindsight I would preferred to have sold out and taken a small loss with WOW because now I am behind the ape ball once again.

I think I will wait for an overall market decline before the next punt. This current punt has taken far too long and has been far too hair on end , white knuckle for me - was down 20% at one point.

Thats better than many investments. Mine down 6% over 31 weeks. But recovering from 22% down - all in the past week - so feeling hopeful.

Thats my plan. I just feel lucky that I am not about to retire or that I need the cash right now. The money had previously been sitting in a term deposit. I am also amazed that the entire trifecta is down.

I hope that BHP and WOW are not like TESCO, Sainsbury but I guess no one knows. Around the time of GFC, I held on to two stocks called ABC and BNB and sold out just before they turned to dust but I was much younger then and the numbers involved were much smaller.
