Sounds like the inspector didnt use an "x-ray type" camera which many inspectors use.. I have seen how good they actually are on several properties I have purchased. Worth considering and following up if you dead set in purchasing this place.... but heeed the advice and look elsewhere..

Move on to another home...........i didnt like what i saw... termites and especially water issues..............either or both can be costly... get out of it if you can...
