I don't think he bought a falling asset, he bought a place to live in. You couldn't walk down a neighborhood street asking people how their appreciating (or falling) asset is going. And yes, its doing my head in.

Can you explain why it makes you laugh? If he wasnt selling at all he could be labelled a hypocrite. But its getting to be a desperate debate when he's just holding out for a better price in the immediate time frame and he's labelled a hypocrite.
