With a newsletter like this you are not paying for data/news, you are paying for the analysis of the individuals involved. So it can't be "gleaned for free" elsewhere. It's a unique perspective being provided and the guys at MacroBusiness have been well ahead of the curve in respect to many...

Why would I pay $480 when at the moment they are only asking $385? What do you think I am? A property speculator? I will consider it over the free 21 day trial period. It would be of limited benefit to me personally from an investment point of view, as I can't see myself taking...

No worries, well I'll be sure to buy you a beer if you're right! How about we meet by 4pm on January 1st 2016. And when I say "by 4pm" I mean an unspecified minute inbetween 4.00pm and 4.59pm :D 10-20% wrong? lol think you have your statistics muddled Shadow. How about you link to the...

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

/facepalm How could I forget? You revised down your prediction from $1.25m to "approaching" $1m... whatever that means  Are you sure you don't want to revise it down to "approaching a level that could be greater than $800k"? At least that way you have a chance to build on the 10%...

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

My base case scenario has never been for an Australian wide crash (although think there is a good chance that Melbourne is part way into a crash). I recall a couple of people on GH.PC having said they sold (though recall none stating it was Keen specifically that scared them into doing it)...

Did you see what my post was in response to? No one is using a gun to force people to sell either. However the property spruikers are doing a lot more damage than any who are bearish. In fact it continues to surprise me how little attention is given to the scams and ponzi property businesses...

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

Probably nobody. Do you know anyone who did? How many people have been harmed by property spruikers, buying into off the plan with instant negative equity or from suggested "hot spots" where they've had to wait years for growth which exceeds their holding costs... or sold for a loss while...

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

We've seen a huge shift in perception over the past week. It seems that everyone is now expecting Greece to default. We've got Australian banks preparing for it. The major US banks are preparing for it and spinning their opinion on what will happen as a result. The problem is with such...

Well I would agree on a global scale, but my response was in context to lizzie's post which was comparing Australia to Europe. So can you share some examples of corruption in Europe which show my examples to be relatively negligible? Perhaps I am wrong.

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

Umm what? No corruption? No big business domination? The big 4 banks aren't a cartel? Coles and Woolworths aren't pushing the little guy out of business? Mining big wigs aren't trying to get a foothold in the media industry? On a smaller scale: We don't have tradies doing cash jobs...

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

As I understood the bailout conditions Greece had to maintain the austerity route to continue to receive the agreed funding, so if new government changes that I assume there is risk of the funding being cut off and an eventual hard default.

Possibility of a Greek default in next week

Reminds me of: "At this juncture, however, the impact on the broader economy and financial markets of the problems in the subprime market seems likely to be contained." http://www.federalreserve.gov/newsevents/testimony/bernanke20070328a.htm Banks and private investors hold nearly 2/3 of...
