+1 There are options for Gold/Silver exposure even without an SMSF. For example some super funds (Spectrum Super is who I use) will allow you to invest directly into ASX200/300 companies which include Gold/Silver miners. Of course the miners are not the same as physical Gold, but Spectrum...
