    I didn't see anything about PAYG. In that case, never have, never will. Ever since entering the workforce, I went out and got my own ABN and worked as a contractor, even when in an office environment with all the 'employees'. I didn't count any of my businesses (Rauction, etc) or anything...

    I think the key term from the OP is 'day job'. My investments haven't quite snow-balled yet. I'm looking forward to my 'day job' income being $0 permanently.

    I didn't say because I wasn't going to boast, but 'high' meant well above $410k p.a. I don't see why there wouldn't be others on SS that are doing that every year. Now for some anti-boasting; I've earned about $6 over the last 12 months (hence 'below average').
