I remember that from the late 70's and early 80's.... Except niether our b & w or colour tv, think it was 82/83 when a colour one, definitley did not come with a remote. In fact, I think the first remotes which I can remmber where connected by cord to VHS players.

That is ironic Mark ! I was born in 71 and I can relate to many of those things. Especially leaving the house on my bike to look for something to do and then come home later.... to eat....
