I don't think we are, in general, getting any nastier. I think the frustration shows in crowded places, such as busy highways, shopping malls. People are a lot more mobile now. Years ago when I was a kid, we went 'to town' maybe 3-4 times a year.

I don't remember the last time a person was rude to me. I guess I would either say "please don't speak to me that way"..or give them a WTF look, shake my head and just walk away.

Great post Xenia. I agree with most of it. datto, I was surprised by your post (probably shouldn't have been) You admit you did something wrong, then the person honked at you..and then you 'flipped him the bird' ...why? You admit to being in the wrong, and then you are rude.
