Sounds to me like like 4 bed dorm hostel. Or a family with a lot of kids... If this is a slum landlord, they must be slum tenants.

Maybe you can answer a question. Why are your friends living in this place? Does the rent they pay reflect the limited space. If they are unhappy, why dont they move elsewhere?
