Rob and I were talking about similar things last night. The carbon tax will be scrapped (hopefully) because once a tax comes in, the government doesn't like to part with it. Just like our tempory income tax. I said i wouldn't mind if we actually got to keep our incomes,I be more than willing...

It's hard watching people waste their money, but I agree you might as well save your breath. They won't change..or at least, until they are ready. Yesterday I was chatting with my friend on FB.She and I worked together for many years. She was telling me they had to consolidate their bills...

I bet looking back on it now, you realised there were better choices you could have made? Cheaper accommodation More 'scratch' food Less cigs/alcohol thrift store purchases the trouble is many people cannot look at their budget objectively. What they see as a need, is actually a want.

Where I live in Canada, a man won 9 million. Within 2-3 years, he was broke, and working for a telemarket/customer support place (where my daughter worked) He had lots of new friends until the money ran out. Not sure what he is doing now, because the place he worked at, has closed down.

Fifth, I agree with almost everything you said. Money is a very funny thing. For me, it is security and freedom. I've found, the older I get, the less materialistic I become. A week ago, I was walking..looked down and saw something orange. It was $20. I get the same bit of happiness...

I think many of us have been living close to the edge in our earlier years. The only difference, we learned we didn't like that feeling...and we did something about it. This just seems to be a way of life for them. In Australia $500 isn't even very much. It would be the equivalent to $250...

When a tenant has rental arrears...we, as landlords, experience this first hand. If the tenant had access to $500, they would rarely be late in rent. If they access this $500 on a credit card, they could ask for an advance. I don't need to walk a mile in their shoes. I don't really...

In almost every case, I'd bet these people don't have $500 is because of their priorities. Hobo, I saw that Four Corners tv show. It's sad for the innocent children, butthe parents brought most of the problems on themselves. If they actually delved into their last 2 years, I'm sure they...
