I agree with Brady but just to push the point 600-800k is actually much closer to the upper end in Adelaide. Most of my friends who have high paying jobs (eg. doctors, lawyers etc) live in houses worth around this and in VERY nice suburbs. Other friends in average paid jobs would live in houses...

One of the things I've wondered about for the North is what will happen when the Holden factory closes. This employs a lot of people who live in the Northern suburbs and also pays relatively well. Will this have a major influence on rental yields if a large proportions of residence salaries...
