    It'll be right now until harvest - they're not ready to take up yet - and we have a large semi-open shed in which the garlic dries.

    I spent the afternoon - in stinky hot muggy conditions - pulling thick mulch off the last of the garlic (5m x 120m) as we've had so much rain - with more on the way and muggy conditions - we run the risk of the garlic rotting in the ground. Sheesh - that was a hot and bothersome job ...

    Farming friends have been rained in - with not looking to be able to get out until tomorrow at the earliest. We'd like a break in the rain ... our last variety of garlic is not yet ready for harvest (the rain has given it a second wind) but we also don't want it to start rotting in the field...

    After 3 months of no rain (fortunately have irrigation) it's been raining every night for the last two weeks - with some wild storms thrown in for good measure. Averaging 20-40mm a night ... think a break for a week or so would be nice now :D but doesn't look like happening ... makes for good...
