yes like quartzon ... but our pool was inherited, so stuck with the pebblecrete for now.

i too hate pebblecrete. i have seen a pool done in this finish and talked an applicator guy in sydney via internet. the pool surface does still end up bumpy-ish because of the pebble, but it is not sharp or scratchy as the surface is a membrane coating. from memory they acid wash/etch...

wow - our solar carked it about 2 years ago (full of untracable leaks) so we ripped out the ancient roof rubber and instead of replacing i was thinking about getting the pool repainted in a dark blue. but this heat pump idea sounds great.
