Just enquired with Bankwest for a fixed 2 year rate. 6.69%! :eek: That's higher than their variable.

I just fixed 2 loans at 6.14 for 3 years with Suncorp. 2 years was 5.99, but I think 3 years will work in my favour. All speculation of course. Saving around $50 per week, so no complaints. I thought rates would bottom out lower this cycle, but I think we're pretty close to the bottom.

I see the guys at shape home loans are offering 15 years at 5.5%. 15 years is a very long time!

While on this train of thought... Skater, does this only apply when it comes to selling? I don't see how else it would affect anything, unless you wanted to release some equity, and one property went up while another went down.
