    It's rampant at all the DOH auctions it seems. I was at the raymond terrace auctions a month or so ago. The numbers said $130k. They sold for $170k+. I was in complete disbelief, as was the purchaser because they kept coughing like mad at the back of the auction room once they won it...

    To add, it was only a year ago I was turning my nose up at 3 bedroom brick houses in North St Marys with an asking price over $280k. Now the two bedroom fibros are scraping that figure. I coulda bought another 5 in hindsight, however I took the best of what was available at the time.

    If you are just starting the search there im afraid it might be a little to late. Use your energy elsewhere.

    As alluded to above. Just cause it's cheap, doesn't mean it's a good buy. And DOH is... the place to be for beginner 'bargain' hunters atm.

    I wouldn't hold my breath. The auctions are overpriced. Best to negotiate on non auction property.
