Honestly guys, who cares who made what. This site provides dialogue to share ideas. If we follow one person or another simply because they made more than someone else, then you aren't going to get very because everyones circumstances are different. Hobo-Jo. Personally I find Deltaberry and...

I would much rather be making money this 12 months period, the last 12 months before and the 12 months to follow. I made money in the last 12 months, not a considerable amount against the debt I have, but against the cash in I actually put in, well over 100% ROI. Which is why I love my...

Yeah, I was in the states in March and poking around, it seemed like I'd better get my **** together and hedge against the aussie dollar quick smart. And then I didn't due to distractions. Well once again, my instinct reminding me to listen to it. I was setting up an account on the forex to go...

You held your cash off-shore? I was in the process of moving it, I converted SFA to US currency. Missed the drop :( Meh.

That could be another thread topic. The past brings regret, the future anxiety. Hindsight is great. Yet we live in the present. The now is where the action is. aka as DB stated, put your money where your mouth is. :D

These aren't the sort of yields we can get at the bottom end of the market. It makes sense if I'm buying commercial at the $1M mark using $250k. ATM though, correct me if i'm wrong, most of us are probably getting 1 or 2% net yield. In saying that, my numbers are pretty sweet anyways, say...

Haha, I was agreeing with your earlier posts. Yes there is definitely growth happening. Where? Well that is what separates us from the herd.

Nor should we be waiting for one. There are markets within markets. That is one lesson I've learnt by trolling these forums. That is how we, 'the sauvvy investor' make money, not by waiting one big financial event (though it helps).

From memory we aren't talking bread and butter properties with Deltaberry and yourself. Most of us can't (yet) purchase in these areas. I can make 20-30% profits if I had a $M in the bank too, I've seen and analysed the deals. I just don't have it (yet). From what I've read, just $1M is...

Haha. Other than my short stint in retail, I haven't met anyone who actually does 9-5. My hours are more like 6-6 + Saturdays.

So depressing... When I was running a crew, during construction lulls, we had to make up work to do. Simply speaking, when they were left to themselves, they became unrully. I've always wondered if that's what the guy who invented the concept of '9-5' was trying to accomplish.

I stand corrected. And with more imigration, later retirement and longer lifespans, should be alright...

If only. I'm far from a pessemist. I'd be the guy trying to buy up all the cheap properties at the fire-sale. Adjust and move forward. Actually looking at turn-over now. Getting into subdivision and sell. Also providing services. Any tips?

You esentially just described my parents LOL. They own their house outright and still work and travel to avoid boredom. They are however looking at downsizing. Which is why I started considering apartments. Both oldies and youngens want em. I may be a little bit too late.

Always wondered. How does one cover their ar*e exactly. Even buying at a good price, with high cashflow in a high demand area. If unemployment sky rockets, who is going to pay the rent. I'm actually curious to know how to manage the mass baby-boomer retirement in the few short years to come...
