I heard in January the Department of Planning is going electronic for subdivision (and survey strata) applications lodgement. I have no idea at this stage what the lodgement requirements will be but it could simplify (or complicate) the process.

I think it will be interesting to do once. After that, I might leave it up to my surveyor! :p

No worries. I will be lodging some time next year, so I am trying to learn as much about the process as I can. If you pick up any tips along the way, it would be great if you could post them!

Ok, so it looks like you can lodge your Form 1c, plan and clearances yourself with WAPC but your surveyor will have to lodge the digital files with Landgate. That's about as much as I could ascertain from my contact but they were not 100% on the Landgate part.

Ha! Remember I said there are complications? :D Your potential issues are: 1. access: you will need 3 metres clear down the side with no intrusions from eaves etc. Looks like you should make that easy. 2. I think the shared wall will have to be a fire rated wall to meet building requirements...
