At 22 and having two properties I think you are doing very well. I do expect eventually Frankston North prices and surrounding areas will go up quite a bit. However one needs a long-term view on this. Frankston still has a very bad reputation and Frankston North (while anyone not from the...

It's either a unit or on a main road is my guess.

People who bought in late 08 and early 09 I think are happy with there Frankston North investment. In time I believe Frankston North will be more desirable than Karringal because Frankston North location is better than Karringal. I think besides the areas very close to the bay Frankston...

I've noticed there are now 30 places available for rent in Frankston North. Take into account around 60 properties available for sale we are getting into high supply and low demand in my opinion.

As long as the rental market holds up, I'm not too concerned about what happens on the selling side for the short term. If the rental market experiences problems, then I'll worry.

NewbyInvestor, my question isn't why prices in Frankston North are softening (which I assume most people expected considering what is going on with Melbourne property), but rather why there are so many properties available for sale? I've been following Frankston North property on...

I hope your right that Frankston North is around the median of Melbourne prices in the next 10 years. I'll be happy if it's not in the 10 cheapest suburbs in Melbourne.

Assuming that you mean the Frankston North is considered bayside, what do you mean by average Joe? Do you mean that in 5-10 years Frankston North will be above the Melbourne median?

As a investor in Frankston North but not a local I wasn't aware of the issues of getting to Eastlink from Seaford Rd (never had an issue when I drive there). So I now can see the Pennisula link is good for Frankston North. I'm now more intersted in property managers in Frankston North. The...

But Frankston North already has easy access to East Link. The bypass towards the city connects to East Link.

Why do you think people who think the bypass won't be good for Frankston North have there heads in the sand? I asked a specific question about the bypass and how it will be postive for Frankston North. There has been lots of defensive responses to my question, which I feel don't answer the...

    Frankston North

Frankston North is already close to the Seaford Rd on pass to Frankston Freeway, which leads to Eastlink. I'm concerned about the bypass for Frankston North property prices as now there is a freeway going to run through the back of it, which may increase noise in the area. I hope I'm wrong...

I don't see how the bypass will be a postive for Frankston North. Would you like to explain what benefit the pines has with the bypass.

If you look at the position of Frankston North compared to most of Frankston, generally it is in a better position. Closer to Melbourne CBD. I expect in time Frankston North will be worth more than Karringal. No surprises for me.
