    Dick Smith's Population Puzzle.

Just a side note, if anyone's really interested there's dozens of clubs all over the nett . Living of the grid , making your own solar power , making your own wind power , homesteading , I'm in 4 or 5 but I don't really have the time to play about anywhere near as much as I'd like to...

Yeah of course, physics again , 3/4 of the things we do shouldn't be either don't forget. Yeah your spot on . The long and the short of it really is that the more populated countries do have to slow breeding right down , right down. Doesn't sound nice but it's reality or where do we go - 12 bill' - 20bill' or in 100yrs 100bill' - it can't be done ! Cheers

I don't even know where to start with this one TC , especially with the last 500yrs of that charts growth ,which is bacically where my 3%p/a thing comes from in saying it is just too much . There's another interesting thing about Aboriginal management that maybe you are aware of but I know many...

I thought of one problem last night in Australia , trying to preserve it's farm land while still expanding . Most of our cities are pretty well surrounded by very fertile soils reaching out to a 3 or 400k radius anyway . So avoiding one patch could just mean sacrificing another anyway ! Cheers

    Dick Smith's Population Puzzle.

Yeah your exactly right toe in our world being so obsessed with growth. That is all wrong , totally illogical and totally unsustainable and the very reason we have the problems we have arising now and unfortunately that's all just the beginning . Even 3% growth p/a is 60% in only 20 yrs, far...

Of with the fairies now Hi Equity but don't forget , it took a computer the size of a bed room 50 yrs ago to store info than can now be held on a chip smaller than your little finger nail. A laptop could in theory easily run a city the size of NY now . It's just time and focus ! A 1000 watt...

A few little theories of mine on vehicals In a country like Australia I have absolutely no idea what the problem is with cars , heavier vehicles yes but cars no. They have out flexible solar panels already - focus on those , get them more concentrated , embed into car roofs, bonnet and boot...

I also reckon creative incentives encouraging people back out into the the regional areas is a great idea . Some of our regional areas are great lifestyles and smaller cities. Most have an abundance of space and many have great infrastructure and new stuff happening by the truck load lately with...

The skills shortage is just a crock. Why can't we train our own people , because education was abused by Howard for 11 yrs, made unfordable , unreachable and impractical so the next minute the whole country is somehow brain washed into thinking the lucky country can't even train it's own people...
