I think Townsville is far better off than Cairns in the short and medium term. Cairns has always been far too dependent on tourism. Townsville is far more balanced. I have recently purchased again in Townsville and will do so again if the deal stacks up.

I don't think 2010 will be much different than 2009 unfortunately.
