No it's not clear. If you set up a poll that simply asked do you self manage or use a PM, I bet you would get a huge swing towards PM. In this poll I voted 'other' because I do my own record keeping via Myob AND use a PM.

Managing the IPs and Accounting for them are two separate things. We use a PM for all, and I do the books on MYOB and give the completed files to the Accountant.
