If you have plenty of time you are right, I haven't and I prefer to relax on my days off, last break I went to Japan, before that, Bali, America, New Zealand..... (I work 4 weeks and have 10 days off) but at about 2% cost, I can have the best of two worlds, providing I get a good BA:)
