Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

Meh, I'm one guy, I'm not changing the political system for the better. Either are you despite how much time you'll spend talking about it over the years. I am however getting wealthy in the process working with the system the way it is.

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

That may be true but I'm still comfortable that it won't be happening in my life time, especially not in the next 15-20yrs while I'm in the growth stage. After that the income sources I've generated will be more than enough to provide me with the wealthy life I intend on leading regardless of...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

I know you're being sarcastic WW, but in the bigger picture yes - that's pretty much what will happen. Govt's, fed's etc will step in when necessary to keep the status quo (whether to the detriment of the countries accounts or not), and our small picture individual investor assets will plod...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

I think the latter is more a function of vote grabbing (or saving). By phasing it out they're already admitting we're past the worst (in their view), but if they just let it drop completely on July 1st, it may have cost them more votes than they were willing to risk. Better to play it safe.

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

Question for you WW - do you think what the RBA did with rates in the end was correct? ie. was dropping it as far as they did correct or did they overshoot? Did they panic because as you said they probably should have started sooner, so dropped more than necessary? I just ask as that seem to...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

I see where you're coming from. You're right negative attitude isn't a good thing to nurture for a successful life (in whatever respect). I guess whilst it comes out as hostility towards Keen, I think most of it is directed at his view though some of it tends to sway more towards the former. I...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

Oh you mean like the people that shares Keen's views on SS who come on anonymously to bag people having a go at property investing? Again you must also classify that as doomsday posters that came here to bag us? I think you'll find it's the views of the person - such as Keen in this case -...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

But will you be alive to see it? Or could it continue for the next 50yrs before it all explodes allowing you to have lived a much wealthier life had you invested more now? There's nothing wrong with a lot of the theories, but if it's not a reality now - why plan your financial life around it...

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

*waves hand in the air* oh oh me, pick me BC, I know this one!! Because they want to live in their own house when they're 30, not 60. :)

Let's hope he didn't have that much influence Ausprop. I do feel a bit sorry if anyone altered their decisions based on his advice, but hopefully it wouldn't have been many.

Steve Keen finally admits he was wrong!

40% Australia wide crash was never going to happen. I do however have respect for Keen for accepting publicly defeat. He has faced the music, unlike so many of the bears we had on SS who will now just fade away without posting again, or come back as 'new' users to start the whole D&G...
