Sounds like a great strategy JIT. The only part I would disagree with is using the SMSF structure to buy the managed funds. I'm not interested in using a vehicle in which the govt. can change the rules of access anytime they feel like. 30yrs is a long time as it stands now, you don't think...

I'm sure it's something you're aware of JIT, but bare in mind your above share/MF strategy will work only if you're prepared to work till 60-65-70(?) before you start living off those dividends. If that's the plan, all good. :)
