deltaberry - i think maybe in ur circle of friends but other it's not that uncommon. Youngsters tend to be more in debt than have any wealth/equity. a lot of my friends have yet to hit 6 figures. they also spend money on travelling, taking a year out to do post grad, paying off loans etc...
