Rarely do we predict an outcome with such specificity like yourself. You predict down to the month\year and % change e.g. 30% etc. This is a fools game to predict with such certainty in order to justifies ones actions today and worse when forum members have to be accosted by yourself for...

This brings us back to my original view/post on this thread were you best summed it up with "the welfare state is both necessary and pernicious In summary the welfare state is required and all we can do tinker around policy edges (e.g. selling expensive govies) and focus on improved...

Belbo I agree that this is the case and there a numerous examples of it including the row of terraces a year or so back that went to auction right under the bridge, woolloomooloo etc. What I am probably advocating is that it becomes government policy rather than a series of arbitrary examples...

? "Paying less than $700 mate. Jealous much" No? I pay a lot more and wish I didnt have to but thats completely beside the point. I simply used $700 to illustrate a point a figure taken from your own completely arbitrary links\examples of a rental figure for the area. I have lived a big...

Unemployment up to 5.3% (10 month high)

It is merely an acute example of an apartment block which is department of housing literally on sydneys harbor front and arguably one of the best bits of land in the city. As a developer we get approached countless times from department of housing to buy end units of our stock, regardless of...

Your an absolute muppet thinking we were stating the whole building was department of housing. two sides of the same coin, read my earlier post. By providing benefits to the middle class it gets to the point were it economically doesnt make sense for both husband and wife to work - so they dont and they do backflips to get full benefits and live off the state to supplement their...

Unemployment up to 5.3% (10 month high)

My personal views regarding welfare is similar to yours. As you elequantly put it, with a word I actually had to look up its meaning, its both pernicious and necessary. Pernicious in that for some in our society especially low income workers it maybe more cost effective\rewarding to not work...
