Agreed. The Supreme Court murder trials I've watched are some of the dullest matters I've ever had to see. On the other end of the scale, some of the minor traffic and simple offence charges in the Magistrates Court are entertainment gold.

I don't know any of the specific amounts, but generally you don't get to claim the full amount of what you would actually have "lost". Even if there was some sort of right of appeal... are you going to take more time off work to make your claim?
