I don't understand why you have that worry specifically with the ASX? Doesn't it apply to the rest of the economy as well? And surely having the ASX full of companies that actually produce a good is better than a heap of companies like banks and retail and just about everything else that are...

Wow, some explosive stuff going on in Western China now. kgb dossier summary,....... http://www.businessspectator.com.au/bs.nsf/Article/The-peril-in-Chinas-west-pd20090707-TPUKY?OpenDocument&src=kgb So I should have added civil unrest of the 1.3 billion population to my forecast of...

How do you set that difference in value..?? For example, a hectare of dirt in my area worth $5,000 could produce enough grain per year worth $1,000 gross, [5t/h x $200/t], and a profit of $500 per hectare. That same hectare if mined for coal might produce 2 million dollars per hectare...

The Japanese blew billions and many Aussies cleaned up, but the Gold Coast is still there in all its glory...

Wow, didn't know that. Doesn't really change my view about broke state governments reaping a one off quick dollar to a Chinese company to make a profit for Chinese shareholders in exchange for Aussie farm land that if not dug up will still be producing food a thousand years after the coal...

Hopefully there won't be a second leg down, but if there is a trigger for the next bust I'll punt that it has something to do with China. Maybe a realisation that China is in a bubble too, or a China housing bust, or something to do with a bank. I'm trying to work out what they are doing with...
