Another group of suburbs I'd recommend is Chelmer/Graceville/Sherwood. Very nice leafy suburbs by the river although not overly prone to flooding. On the train line not far from the city and private schools around Indooroopilly/St Lucia.

I'd throw in St Joseph's (catholic boy's school) at Spring Hill.. has a tendancy to have the highest % of OP 1-5. Nearby suburbs Windsor/Wilston/Grange would be worth checking out on that budget.
