    Nothing, Fukushima has shown that risks are very real not perceived. Some densely populated countries like Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain do not want to take these risks. Many countries have banned new reactors, Austria never even started theirs up after they built it.

    Some countries with nuclear power have implemented programs to phase it out, the risk is being seen as too high.

    No this is not true, the waste products after fission are far more dangerous and radioactive than uranium ore, which you can hold in your hands safety.
