I know someone who recently listed their very original 1930's home at 1.05M, immediately after their neighbour's home went up for sale, to highlight the desirability of theirs. The neighbours house was very similar, but with at least $200,000 worth of renovations and was listed at $850,000...

I agree with you RE. She definately sounds like she needs assessing. Once that's occurred you'll have a better idea on how she's 'reading' the world around her and how you can help her. I know you've mentioned Aspergers here, and from what you have described, I think that that's a...

Both my boys loved Lego and jigsaw puzzles from an early age. We were out shopping one day when the oldest about 2 or so at the time saw and wanted a cheap Barbie like doll. Not being the type to intentionally force stereotypical roles on my children, and the fact it was cheap and I...

I wasn't too bad but my 17yo is much more mature, insightful and aware of the world around him than I ever was at his age. He sometimes gives us advice that actually make sense and often refer to him as the adult in the house. And we're only half joking .

They might not excel in the 'meat and 3 veg in front of the telly 7 nights a week' department but I bet these Gen Y still enjoy a better diet and knowledge base of subjects like nutrition and physiology. I suppose it depends on the demographics but many of the Gen Y-ers I tend to see are...

RE, the painter who lives across the road and paints a lot of houses in our suburb (mainly 100 year old homes) says we have the highest ceilings that he's seen around here. I agree that extra height makes a huge difference :(.
