    That's not my spit or my cooking :eek:. I wish. It's this mini spit for me nowadays, which does 2 or 3 'pieces' of lamb (you can buy extra grips). Cheap as chips from Bunnings and comes highly recommended...

    It varies, depending of what taste we want on the day. Sometimes it's more 'Greek' using oregano (both dried and powder), pepper, onion powder (sometimes chopped onion) and salt rubbed on, AFTER it's been smeared in olive oil. That is nice with oven potatoes with the same seasoning + lemon...

    Sounds yum, but I'm wog, and think lamb, pepper/salt/olive oil/oregano/lemon basted spit roasted, is much better - eaten with tzatziki of course :p. Geez, I think we need to stop this :eek:.

    Agree. I mentioned Rib Eye steak because it is around $40 per kg at most places here, unless bought in bulk, however the prices quoted were non bulk, non special prices - wanted to indicate that price varies significantly and one can buy great quality at low prices if you bother to shop...

    I can't say I'm paying exorberant prices for lamb. This a great quality butcher I frequently buy from. http://www.gawlerrivercattle.com.au/weekly-special.php They do the best and cheapest rib eye steaks in Adelaide too.
