Yup it's concrete. Because the wall is more than 1200mm high it doesn't need a pool fence. There is a small gated fence part over the RHS where there is steps up to the pool.

About 1/2 to 2/3rd of the price but you can do some rather smart ideas on a budget. I've seen pools build from water tanks, shipping containers etc

Yup something a bit bigger but compact still. I like the raised idea as it means you can build up close to the garage etc. I had friends that did it with a glass front panel which was very effective. At least you don't need a shallow end so you get most use out of a deep compact pool.

Your yard isn't huge so you will probably need to consider which one can go closest to the boundary which is probably concrete. Maybe a plunge pool You could also raise it up to reduce digging and retaining
