I had this "problem" when I had my block of 4 (cheap!!) 1BR units. These were the properties I needed rent cover, but it was about 2.5 months of rent to cover the premium!!! :eek: Each!!!!!!!!

Ours are in managed complexes to building is covered by body corp. We do have contents tho', to about $30k, I think. Maybe by the time building is added it will be closer to $800.

That's expensive compared with Terri Scheer. We have 2 policies in Qld with Terri Scheer and they are $255 pa each! But we don't get to "choose" coverage as you describe here, so may not be comparing apples with apples (or policies with policies ;))

the trouble with insurance companies is until you make a claim you don't know how good they are. But we're with Terri Scheer - have been for years - and they've just increased some of their coverage amounts, like malicious damage. :eek: And they are reasonably priced with low-ish excesses.
